The average passenger load factor on United Airlines’ West Coast discount carrier, called the Shuttle by United, rose 7 points, to 72.1 percent, in the fourth quarter from the year-earlier period. Passenger boardings increased to nearly 2.7 million from 1.7 million, and flight departures grew to 32,700 from 21,700.
