Nathan Hoffman, 80, a retired director of purchasing for Helene Curtis Industries, died Thursday in Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. Raised in Humboldt Park, Mr. Hoffman was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. In 1953, he earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. Mr. Hoffman taught at Oakton Community College as part of the school’s emeritus program. He is survived by his wife, Libbie; a son, Mark; a daughter, Andrea; and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Weinstein Brothers Chapel, Wilmette.
