Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Why is it that Andy MacPhail and Ed Lynch continue to sit on their hands while other clubs, such as the Cardinals, are going all out to improve their ballclubs with the additions of quality players?
The Cubs have done nothing to improve the ballclub. Losing Randy Myers, Shawon Dunston and Todd Zeile and acquiring Dave Magadan and Doug Jones have weakened the team. Signing Mark Grace, Jaime Navarro and Ryne Sandberg have only been attempts to maintain a status quo of mediocrity.
The Cubs ownership and “new” front office appear to be continuing the trend of fiscal conservatism and lack of effective leadership that have been responsible for the team’s dismal showing over the past 51 years.
