Willis Price, a self-described handyman, will appear Monday before Cook County Circuit Judge Michael Toomin to face sentencing for bilking a woman out of $571,000 over three years. Price was convicted in December of defrauding Trilby Thomas, a woman whose age is uncertain but is believed to be in her 90s. Although only one small job was performed–a concrete slab was poured around the outside of the home–Price managed to swindle Thomas out of all but $6,000, according to Assistant State’s Attorneys Delores Robinson and Nick Ford.
