Sidney Mandell, 67, a leader in the industrial machinery business, died Friday in Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge. Mr. Mandell was president of the Machinery Dealers National Association between 1974 and 1976 and played an important role in the formulation of OSHA laws. Survivors include his wife, Annette; a daughter, Linda Fainman; a son, Michael Mandell; his parents, Isadore and Bess; two brothers; and five grandchildren. Services were held Monday.
