Technology that supporters say would mean enhanced security and more efficient service for riders will be considered by the Chicago Transit Authority Board under a proposed $29.8 million contract for new bus equipment. The high-tech gear would permit personnel in the CTA’s Control Center to receive the “real time” location of each bus in service.
