Magic Johnson, it is hoped, has many years to live, during which he will go through many emotional and physical changes. Sadly, I have seen these changes firsthand when a friend died of AIDS. With the grace of God, during the remaining years of Magic’s life, his contribution to society will be realized. But it will be when he decides, not Mr. Carney.
