John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc. said fourth-quarter earnings increased 33 percent, to $2.7 million, or 29 cents a share, from $2.1 million, or 23 cents a share, a year earlier.

The Elk Grove Village nut company said sales rose 35 percent, to $104.5 million from $77.3 million.

Annual revenue increased 33 percent, to $277.7 million from almost $209 million. Earnings were up more than 100-fold, to $5.8 million, or 63 cents a share, from $49,000, or nothing a share, in 1994.

Sanfilippo acquired Fisher Nut Co. in the fourth quarter, but the company did not specify the contribution Fisher made to 1995 results.
