Does it surprise anyone that kids from festering slums in Gaza, with no future and no hope for a even a job (let alone a career), would be easy prey for recruitment by terrorist groups such as Hamas?
Or that Chicago kids who found no legitimate opportunities would be lured by drug-selling and gangs?
Or that some angry middle-class workers, facing or fearing the end of their ability to earn a living, would be susceptible to the hate- mongering of demagogues such as Pat Buchanan?
When will we learn that injustice so easily breeds more injustice, including violence against the innocent?
