City administrator Don Foster has recommended that Terry Smith continue to head West Chicago’s community development department, which is being combined with the economic development office.

Officials aim to have the departments combined by the end of April. The new job descriptions have been sent to an employee committee for review prior to their inclusion in the 1997 budget.

Foster recommended that Paul Tague, who headed the economic development department, be named to a coordinator’s post under Smith.
