Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On a recent night I had the experience of attending a candidates forum for the Local School Council at my son’s school. I was pleased to hear so many people interested in getting involved in the school.

Unfortunately, besides myself and perhaps four other people, the audience was made up of the candidates, the principal and assistant principal.

If this process is to be a valuable one, we need to work on some way of getting community members into the schools so that they can find out about the people who want to become an important part of our school’s reform and be involved in the education of our children.
