For the first time, the District 211 board is holding a forum for residents, students and staff.

The meeting will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. May 11 at the administration center, 1750 S. Roselle Rd.

Under discussion may be the board’s approval of increasing some student fees to offset higher costs of educating students for the 1996-97 school year.

Fee changes include a $10 increase to $120 for students requesting to be bused who live within 1.5 miles of the school; an increase to $45 from its $33 fee for textbooks and a 10-cent raise in breakfast and lunch fees.

The board opted to hold the line on fees for student parking and behind-the-wheel driver education.
