– Rich Burnoski, Romeoville: The junior went 8 for 12 with seven RBIs.
– Orville Parker, St. Benedict: Went 10 for 13 with three home runs and 15 RBIs and earned a win in relief.
SOFTBALL
– Kerri Evans, Marian Catholic: Pitched a perfect game against St. Viator and also earned a win over Oak Park. She struck out 22 in two games.
– Nikki Flowers, Reed-Custer: Pitched a no-hitter against Sandwich and struck out eight against Westmont. Flowers also went 10 for 12 with six RBIs in three games.
– Erin Smith, Maria: In a 12-inning, 3-0 victory over Providence, she struck out 29 batters and allowed one hit.
GIRLS SOCCER
– Emily Brown, New Trier: Scored six goals in four games at the Cedarburg (Wis.) Invitational, which New Trier won.
– Laurie Seidl, St. Charles: Scored three second-half goals in a 4-2 victory over Naperville North.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
– Lloyd Aragon, Wheeling: Recorded 84 assists as Wheeling defeated Libertyville and Palatine.
BOYS TRACK AND FIELD
– Dennis Crump, St. Rita: Won the 100 and 200 meters at the Sandburg Invitational as well as the Glenbard West Invitational.
– Loren King, Glenbard South: Voted outstanding field event athlete at the Waubonsie Valley Invitational after setting meet records in the high jump (6 feet 8 inches) and the triple jump (44-3 1/2).
