Much of the medical establishment opposes Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s approach to helping terminally ill patients commit suicide. The issue addressed by him, though, is extremely important and needs urgent attention. To equate his actions with that of the Unabomber, along with a cigarette, in Dick Locher’s cartoon titled “Killing Machines” (Editorial Page, April 27) is really very cruel.
