I believe that the burning of black churches in the South is a disaster for democracy. A disaster for democracy is also one for the United States, therefore I believe the president should declare these acts a disaster and allocate funds for the rebuilding of the churches.

As this is an act against people and not against a particular religion, I do not believe this would violate the constitutional limits of separation of church and state. It would send a message to the perpetrators that this country will not tolerate such acts.
