The Park District has approved a budget of $7.5 million for 1996-97.
Director Bob Kunkel said the budget targets more spending for capital projects, including playground renovation and construction of softball fields at the Redmond retention area.
A recent easing of the tax cap by the legislature is enabling the Park District to do some capital projects it had put off, Kunkel said.
