An art exhibit that began Saturday at the Chicago Cultural Center examines Paris as an artistic mecca for African-American artists in the post-World War II era. “Explorations in the City of Light: African American Artists in Paris, 1945-1965” includes 70 paintings and sculptures representing the careers of seven artists. Admission is free. The exhibit runs through Aug. 29.
