Gymnast Amy Chow, 18, was performing a balance beam routine at the Olympic Trials recently when she did something stunning: She fell and hit her face on the beam. While spectators gasped, she climbed back on and, as her eye swelled, finished her routine. By day’s end, Amy had the crowd’s respect, a hefty ice pack (right) and a spot on the Olympic team!
