The Police Department will auction abandoned property and unclaimed evidence at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Police Department rear parking lot, 3600 Kirchoff Rd.
Items that have been impounded for six months or longer or those involved in crimes will be sold to the highest bidder.
The City Council approved the auction and the sale of five office items from the department, including color television sets, a typewriter and a dot matrix printer. The auction is in compliance with the Illinois Revised Statutes regarding the sale of abandoned property.
