An air show this weekend in St. Charles will feature everything from P-51 Mustangs, a C-47 cargo plane, B-25 bombers, skywriting biplanes, experimental planes and helicopters.
And it’s all going to be done in miniature.
More than 170 model aircraft will be on hand at the 3rd annual Chicagoland Air Festival conducted by the Fox Valley Aero Club. More than 100 model aircraft owners and pilots from throughout the Midwest will be on hand to show off their handiwork, according to Donald Hattendorf of the Fox Valley club. There is a $3 admission fee for those 12 and older.
The show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday on Campton Hills Road just west of St. Charles.
