Amen, amen and amen to recent letters critical of carry-on luggage abuse by airline travelers.

My sister and I are 80-plus years old and we travel often on the airways and always check all our parcels with the exception of a purse. Yet we have to wait interminably to get out while people unload overhead parcels. As soon as the plane stops, they rise in the aisles and start unloading.

I have mentioned this to the flight attendants, who just smile.
