More than 5,000 runners and walkers are expected to take part in the 20th Chicago Distance Classic sponsored by the American Lung Association. There will be 20K and 5K runs and a 5-mile walk. Advance registration is $18 for the 20K, $16 for the 5K and the walk. Race-day registration is $20. All participants get a T-shirt. Advance registration will be from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, 720 S. Michigan Ave. For more information, call 243-2000.
