Union members of Ameritech Corp.’s Yellow Pages unit authorized their president to call a strike if a collective bargaining agreement expires next month. The Communications Workers of America said it’s pressing for a strike because Chicago-based Ameritech hasn’t addressed such matters as job growth, benefits, equitable compensation and other issues.
