James Warnken Sr., 80, an officer with Modern Life and Accident Insurance Co. for 40 years, died Friday in his home in Arlington Heights. As an Army staff sergeant during World War II, Mr. Warnken was stationed in Panama. After the war, he joined Modern Life and Accident where he worked until 1981. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances; a son, James; and four daughters, Colleen, Francine, Kelly, and Pauline. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in Ridgemoor Chapels, 6453 W. Irving Park Rd. Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Priscilla Catholic Church, 6949 W. Addison Ave.
