When I think of these Olympics, I’ll think of Dot Richardson . . .

I’ll remember how this orthopedic surgeon gave up more than $100,000 this past year to play on the first Olympic softball team, and how she prepared by setting up a batting cage in her apartment bedroom, whacking a ball off a tee into a net.

That is a true Olympian.
