O. Paul Roeder, 78, a retired clerk for the Chicago Board of Education, died Saturday in Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Mr. Roeder, formerly of Mt. Greenwood, lived in Oak Lawn. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a past president of the St. Louis de Montfort Senior Citizens Club in Oak Lawn and a past commander of the Mt. Greenwood American Legion Post 844, the 4th District American Legion and VFW Post 5220. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, 10415 S. Kedzie Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Louis de Montfort Church, 8808 Ridgeland Ave., Oak Lawn.
