The City Parade of Homes, originally scheduled to begin Aug. 31, has rescheduled its opening, according to its sponsor, the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago.

The event, which now will run Oct. 5 through 20, will be held in the North Kenwood/Oakland neighborhood on the city’s South Side and will feature 14 homes and two-unit buildings.

– Four semicustom, single-family homes are available for immediate delivery at Breezy Lawn Estates in Spring Grove.

Being developed by KLM Builders, the community will feature 170 homes on one- to two-acre lots.

The 23 floor plans range from 1,809 to 2,280 square feet and are priced from $219,900 to $239,900.

– Preconstruction sales have begun at 812 Oak Street Residences, a condominium community being developed in downtown Winnetka by Focus Development Inc.

The four-story building is planned for one commercial level and three residential floors with four units per floor. Four floor plans will range from 1,800 to 2,700 square feet with two or three bedrooms, den or family room, and two to 2 1/2 baths. Priced from $370,000 to $585,000, each unit will include central air conditioning, fireplace, one or two balconies or a roof-top terrace and two heated indoor parking spaces.

– Through August, townhouse buyers at Dawson Mill Village in Algonquin, may receive a 50-inch, big-screen television and stereo system. Being developed by Pulte Home Corp., the community will include 156 townhouses priced from $113,990 to $124,990.

Three model homes are open.

Floor plans range from 1,197 to 1,462 square feet and feature two or three bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and partial garden basements. Monthly assessments range from $84 to $93.

Dawson Mill is on Randall Road, half a mile south of Illinois Highway 62 (Algonquin Road).

Sales hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

– Rick Levin & Associates will auction off 23 townhouses at Prairie Village in Aurora and four single-family homes and one lot at Willow Lake in North Aurora, both United Homes communities.

Prairie Village has five models and 18 inventory units remaining for sale.

The auction will be at 1 p.m on Aug. 17 at the Hyatt Lisle, 1400 Corporetum Dr., Lisle.

The townhouses at Prairie Village, originally priced from $103,900 to $154,790, will be auctioned with opening bids ranging from $35,000 to $50,000. Five will be sold absolute, regardless of price, in the first five rounds of bidding.

The townhouses have two or three bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths and two-car garage. They range from 885 to 1,432 square feet.

The four two-story homes at Willow Lake, which are originally priced to $176,850, have suggested opening bids of $60,000. One home will be sold absolute, regardless of price.

The lot, originally priced to $50,000, has a suggested opening bid of $15,000. Willow Lake features 10,000-square-foot, fully sodded lots. The community is on the northeast corner of Randall Road and Oak Street in North Aurora.

– Reservations are being taken for the Park Villas at River Walk, a community planned for 68 single-story condominiums being developed by Timberview Development Corp. in Plainfield. The first phase includes 18 homes priced from $129,990 to $144,990.

A reservation allows buyers to have first selection of sites when preconstruction sales begin.

Timberview Development Corp. also is offering incentives: Buyers who purchase a home in August receive $5,000; in September, $4,000; in October, $3,000; in November, $2,000; and in December, $1,000. To qualify for this program, buyers must close on the homes by March 31, 1997.

The new Park Villas at River Walk offers two floor plans that include two to three bedrooms, two baths and two-car garages. There are four units per building. Monthly association fees range from $75 to $85.

– Kennedy Group Limited Partnership has added a one-story Sherwood plan to its offerings at Arbor Hills, a community of 171 single-family homes in Algonquin. The three-bedroom, two-bath design features 2,300 square feet and is priced from $249,800. It includes a 2 1/2-car garage.

There are seven designs altogether at Arbor Hills.

– Preconstruction sales are under way at Brittany Hills, a neighborhood of 165 single-family homes in Algonquin being developed by Brittany Homes & Developments Inc.

Thirteen one- and two-story floor plans range from about 1,900 to 3,900 square feet with three to five bedrooms and attached two- or three-car garages. Some locations allow for walkout basements. Prices range from $183,900 to $277,900.

Brittany Hills is on Sleepy Hollow Road, just south of County Line Road. Preconstruction sales are being conducted from the Highlands of Algonquin sales center.

– Phase II sales of the Greens Series have begun at Boulder Ridge, a golf course community in Lake in the Hills being developed by Par Development.

The Greens features 177 single-family homes on quarter- to half-acre homesites priced from $239,900 to $275,900. Three models are open for viewing.

Five floor plans range from 2,261 to 2,600 square feet with three to five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, full basement and attached two-car garage.

A two-story Bayhill design in phase II is available for immediate delivery. It features 2,330 square feet, four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, family room and full basement. The Bayhill is priced from $259,900.

– Three homes remain at the Highlands of Fairway Ridge, a Cambridge Homes community of 201 single-family homes in Gurnee.

The 2,600-square-foot Edinburgh is available for immediate occupancy. It includes five bedrooms, three baths, volume ceilings, family room with fireplace, upgraded cabinets and carpeting and attached two-car garage. Set on a half-acre lot, it is priced at $221,930.

A second Edinburgh design available for delivery by the end of the year will feature a brick exterior, five bedrooms, three baths, volume ceilings and a three-car attached garage. It is priced at $221,400. For a limited time, the interior design options may still be chosen by the buyer.

Also available is a two-story Glen Eagles floor plan featuring 2,200 square feet with four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, covered porch and family room with fireplace. The Glen Eagles, priced at $218,000, also includes a full basement and a two-car attached garage. It is available for mid to late September delivery.
