Charles Starr, 88, of Crystal Lake, died Friday in the Crystal Pines Health Care Center in Crystal Lake. He was born in Benton Harbor, Mich., and was in the Army in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Vairien ; two daughters, Sarah Hassan and Julia Gray; and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in Querhammer Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
