I recently made my first visit to Chicago to attend the National Hardware Show. I didn’t see much of your city because I was busy all day at the show. I did, however, meet a number of your residents who were working at the show as bus drivers, guides, doorkeepers, etc. In other words, all those people who never get any recognition but who are essential to making an event successful.
I have never been in a city where I was treated any kinder by such a bright, cheerful, helpful group. I have a wonderful impression of your city just by the brief moments of interaction I enjoyed with these people. I tip my hat to them.
