The City Council has given initial approval to a plan by Wheaton College to build a 1,800 square foot combined new entry to the Smith and Traber dormitories at the corner where the two dormitories join.
In addition, the plan will reconfigure the driveway of the buildings, which are at the northwest corner of Howard Street and University Place, to create an arc-shaped driveway that connects the two streets. Currently, drivers both enter and exit the driveway to the buildings via Howard Street.
