Flora and fauna: 75 species of mammals, 32 species of amphibians and reptiles, 271 species of birds–including mule deer, lizards, rock squirrels, mountain lions (rarely seen) and peregrine falcons. Almost 800 species of native plants, including ponderosa pine, juniper, wild flowers and yucca.
Entrance fees: $5 per private vehicle, $3 per hiker or cyclist (good for seven consecutive days).
