Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Ravel’s “Bolero.” What a fitting climax to the superb 1996 season of the Grant Park Music Festival.

For all the wonderful nights of music that you gave us, my wife and I extend a sincere “bravo” to the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra and conductor Hugh Wolff, the Symphony Chorus, choral conductor Michael Cullen, the many generous sponsors and the Chicago Park District.

We don’t know of any other city that offers such a thrilling musical program, performed by truly world-class musicians and vocalists–all for the price of parking (25 cents at a meter if you’re lucky).

The people of Chicago, like those in most major cities, covet winning teams. Well, we’ve got a 62-year championship team that plays to the delight of thousands of loyal fans every summer. And you don’t have to know someone or take out a second mortgage to get the best seats in the house.
