Ervin Brinkman, 81, a retired food industry executive and a longtime resident of Fox River Grove, died Wednesday in Governors Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Barrington. He was born in Addison and was an Army veteran of World War II. A certified public accountant, he worked for Jewel Food Stores and, later, Dominick’s Finer Foods. Mr. Brinkman also taught accounting classes at Harper College in Palatine. He is survived by his wife, Joann; a brother; and a sister. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday in Windridge Memorial Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary. Services will be private.
