Democratic U.S. Sen. Carl Levin and Republican challenger Ronna Romney on Wednesday agreed to meet in three debates before the Nov. 5 election.
The two campaigns issued a joint statement saying they had agreed to debates on Sept. 29, Sept. 30 and Oct. 12.
The decision reflects “both candidates’ desire to meet and discuss the issues they believe are important to Michigan,” said Levin campaign spokesman Steve Serkaian.
