Buckingham Fountain is about to go into hibernation for the winter.
These are the last few days to stop by and bid the fountain a see-ya-next-year salute. The Chicago Park District had extended its regular Oct. 1 shutdown.
The fountain operates daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Dusk lighting begins at 8 p.m., with the full water and light show starting at 9 p.m.
The fountain in Grant Park closes Tuesday.
