The Bills are struggling–but still had enough to beat the Jets.

Buffalo’s second straight poor performance still wound up as the Jets’ eighth consecutive loss and 12th over two seasons. Steve Christie’s sixth field goal, a 47-yarder with 10 seconds to go, won it for the Bills (5-2).

Former Bills quarterback Frank Reich had engineered an 80-yard drive in nine plays with no timeouts left to tie the game. Wayne Chrebet made a diving 21-yard TD catch with 1:43 to go.

But the Bills surged back for their ninth victory in the last 10 road games against the Jets (0-8). Passes of 17 and 14 yards by Jim Kelly to rookie Eric Moulds set up Christie’s winning kick and gave him a career high for one game.
