Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace has picked four selections for its 1997 season.
The new line-up begins with “Hello, Dolly!” March 12-May 18, directed by Gary Griffin. “George M!” with staging by Marc Robin, follows May 28-July 27, and a rare revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies” is set for Aug. 6-Oct. 5. “South Pacific” is scheduled for Oct. 15-Jan. 4, 1998. – Bailiwick Repertory at 1229 W. Belmont Ave., is offering three programs this fall as part of its ongoing gay and lesbian line-up. “Cyberqueer,” by Tom Jacobson, a comedy from Los Angeles about love and sex via the Internet, opens Friday and runs through Dec. 1.
“Splintered” Sunday through Nov. 26 is a program of short works by noted American dramatists, including the late Scott McPherson’s “Scraped” as well as Lanford Wilson’s “The Moonshot Tapes,” Sally Nemeth’s “Pagan Days” and Craig Lucas’ “Bad Dream.”
Also, beginning Nov. 6, a new work called “Success in Numbers” by Jon-David is the latest in Bailiwick’s series of free readings of new plays. For more information: 773-883-1090.

CLASSICAL MUSIC
The London-based 10-member choral ensemble known as the Tallis Scholars will open the 15th anniversary Howard Mayer Brown International Early Music Series at 3 p.m. Sunday in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, University of Chicago. The a cappella choir under Peter Phillips’ direction will present a program of English Renaissance church works, including music by its namesake Thomas Tallis, John Sheppard, Robert Parsons, John Taverner and others. – The Great Vocalists Series at Orchestra Hall will receive its baptism at 3 p.m. Sunday with the local recital debut of soprano Renee Fleming. The much-acclaimed American diva, best known locally for her appearances with Lyric Opera, will be joined by pianist and Ravinia music director Christoph Eschenbach for a program of songs by Schubert, Strauss, Wolf, Faure and Duke Ellington. – On the chamber music front, the young and promising Keller String Quartet from Hungary will make its area debut as part of the Concerts Under the Dome series at 8 p.m. Friday at Ascension Church in Oak Park. The program holds quartets by Mozart, Ravel and Bartok, as well as Gyorgy Kurtag’s “Microludes,” which the quartet has just released as part of an ECM recording of the complete Kurtag works for string quartet.
