Mrs. Ellis, a Chicago native, was the head hat check attendant at the Trianon before moving on to a two-decade career as the head cashier at the Tivoli. “She was very well-loved, because she worked with the public and had an outgoing personality,” said her son, Michael. Other survivors include three daughters, Charlesetta Potts, Marian Frazier and Geraldine Gross; a sister; and two grandchildren. Services will be private.
