Terrance Burns, convicted for taking part in the Dec. 3, 1995, robbery and murder of Ethan Kane, is scheduled to be sentenced Friday by Cook County Criminal Court Judge Michael Toomin.

Kane, a 21-year-old Loyola University of Chicago student, was shot to death behind his home in the 2000 block of North Mohawk Street. Though Burns was only the lookout and two other accomplices have not been charged, Burns was convicted of first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.

10 a.m. Friday, Room 400, Criminal Courts Building, 2600 S. California Ave.
