Karl A. Westman, 82, the retired owner of Westman Nursery in Woodstock, died Wednesday, in the Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii. He was born in Woodstock. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3855 in Lihue, Hawaii; was a previous member of the Veteran of Foreign War Post 5040 in Woodstock; Woodstock Moose Lodge 1329; and Grace Lutheran Church in Woodstock. Mr. Westman served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by a son, Bob; a daughter, Joye; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock.
