Howard R. Walter, 78, a retired dairy farmer, died Monday at his home near Harvard. He was born in Mauston, Wis. Mr. Walter was a member of Harvard Moose Lodge 1289 and the McHenry County Farm Bureau. He is survived by his wife, Anna, five brothers and a sister. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, with services following at 11 a.m. in Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard.
