The wife of state Sen. Robert Molaro (D-Chicago) is scheduled to be arraigned this week on charges that she was a ghost-payroller on the Senate staff.

Lawyers for Barbara Molaro have said she will plead innocent.

She was paid almost $40,000 from January 1986 to September 1991 as a contractual employee of the Senate president’s office, but didn’t do any work, the government alleges.
