The Green Bay Packers aren’t looking quite so mighty these days.
After successive losses, the Packers (8-3) are merely tied for the best record in the NFC instead of a seeming lock for postseason home-field advantage. Coach Mike Holmgren expressed concern about Sunday night’s matchup against St. Louis (3-8).
“Getting into the playoffs is still a big goal,” Holmgren said. “Home-field advantage and all that stuff that goes with it is way down the road. We just have to win a game.”
The Packers have claimed receiver Andre Rison off waivers, but lost tackle Ken Ruettgers to retirement.
