I expect to be mildly annoyed by Linda Bowles’s attacks on democratic institutions, but on Dec. 11 I was truly surprised to see her describe the Constitution as “an instrument of our oppression” (Op-Ed).
If Ms. Bowles really fears and despises American government with the same zeal that she expresses in her columns, I have a suggestion: Move somewhere else. The new Afghanistan might be ideal.
Of course, as a woman she would not be allowed to hold a career or express her opinions publicly there. But in a place where moral orthodoxy is rigidly enforced by government, I doubt she’d have much to complain about.
