I agree with Mike Royko’s Dec. 20 column about weather reporters. I got tired enough to stop watching some time ago. But if he thinks he has seen the idiotic, he should have been in a store with us when a local weather reporter came in and someone thanked her for the sunshine.
She smiled and said, “You’re welcome.” In earnest! I looked to see if she was joking. She wasn’t.
She needs more than lessons in geography and the habits of Mother Nature. She needs a lesson in who she is–or, rather, who she isn’t
