Harold Stiggers, 51, a longtime Austin community resident, died Sunday in West Suburban Hospital. Mr. Stiggers studied graphic arts and worked at Argonne National Laboratory when he was younger. “He was a very fun-loving person,” said his stepson Edward Stephens. “He loved music and he loved to dance.” Other surivivors include his wife, Lillie Hoskins-Stiggers; a son, Harold Stiggers Jr.; four stepdaughters, Pearl Graves, Barbara Skipper, Lela Venton, JoAnne Bright; a stepson, Henry Stephens; his mother, Idella Nesbitt; two brothers; three sisters; 38 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Westgate Funeral Home, 4138 W. Madison St. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. Saturday in Miracle Temple Church, 4645 W. Madison St. Services will follow at 11 a.m.
