Among the species that call Chicago home and can be spotted dive-bombing for their prey at speeds up to 200 m.p.h. are peregrine falcons.

A new exhibit at the Nature Museum explores the biology of birds of prey, how they hunt, what they eat, and how they have adapted to and are surviving in urban settings.

The exhibit, “Hunters in the Sky,” focuses on the peregrine falcon, a raptor nearly wiped out in the eastern U.S. that is making a comeback.

The exhibit opens Saturday at the museum, 435 E. Illinois St.
