In early December, my husband and I had flown in from California and were waiting for our daughter to pick us up at O’Hare International Airport. In my haste to see my daughter, I rushed out to her car and left my purse on the bench at O’Hare.
I did not discover my omission until we were almost home. Never did I say so many “Hail Marys” as on our way back to the airport. I was praying for a Christmas miracle.
Upon arriving back at the airport and discovering the bench devoid of my purse, I approached the nearest United counter. The kind ticket agent had been paging me, as some honest gentleman had turned in my purse.
I would like to thank both the ticket agent and the very honest gentleman for returning my purse. There are some Christmas “angels” here in Chicago.
