Contrary to popular belief, fashion isn’t about rules.
Really.
We challenge you to take those old-fashioned fashion taboos and toss ’em every which way.
In other words, this winter: Embrace tackiness.
You’ve seen it in the stores.
Dare to swathe yourself in that lovely shade of avocado green-a color heretofore deemed inappropriate for anything other than refrigerators during the disco ’70s.
Mix plaids with florals with stripes with checks.
Toss a dress on over pants.
Take a fragile little sheer silky thing and marry it to a bulky, hulking down parka.
Do the faux fur thing.
Do it with a sense of humor and sense of wink/wink/nudge/nudge joie de vivre.
But just do it. We dare you.
