I often hear about the influence of television on children’s behavior, and now there is a rating system to help parents choose appropriate television programs for their children.
It has been suggested that watching a lot of violence on television can stimulate children to behave in a more violent way. I wonder why, then, it seems that children who don’t speak standard English don’t learn to speak it from watching television.
